30-day Chothe Thangwai Pakhangba workshop cum production concludes

Moirang, June 09 2026: A 30-day workshop cum production on Chothe Thangwai Pakhangba concluded today at Panthobi Thang-Ta and Jagoi Sindam Sanglen Hall in Moirang The workshop cum production which commenced on May 10, was organised by the Thangjing Art & Cultural Academy, Moirang, under the Cultural Function and Production Grant Scheme of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.

The valedictory function was attended by Pradhan Guru of the Panthobi Thang-Ta and Jagoi Sindam Sanglen, Laishram Rajen; founder cum secretary of the Thangjing Art & Cultural Academy, Moirang, Moirangthem Prome Devi; and fashion designer Phairembam Neerupama as presidium members.

As part of the concluding programme, artists of the academy who participated in the month-long workshop staged a folk drama based on "Chothe Thangwai Pakhangba".

The production, directed by Ahanthem Rajmohon, captivated the audience.
