Imphal, August 08 2026: The fifteen-day Music Workshop organised by Rhythms of Manipur with support from the Department of Art and Culture under Chief Ministergee Artistesigee Tengbang Scheme concluded today at the Golden Jubilee Stage of Manipuri Jagoi Marup, Lamboikhongnangkhong.

The main highlight of the closing function was the performance of music compositions trained during the workshop under the guidance of Haoban Nisheshwor Singh.

Former Principal of Government Dance College Ranjit Adhikari graced the occasion as chief guest while Likmabam Manibabu, president of the group, presided over the function.

Altogether 13 musicians participated in the workshop and in today's performance.

Speaking on the occasion, Ranjit Adhikari lauded the contributions of Rhythms of Manipur during the last three decades and suggested exploring collaborative works with cultural organisations of different fields.

Rhythms of Manipur has been regularly organising workshops, festivals and awareness programmes on music with support from the State Art & Culture Department and the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, besides extensive concert tours at home and abroad.
