Haemoglobin Detection Programme held

Leima Chanu Nawa Tengbang Lup and Sangai Trust Foundation jointly organised a 1-Day Haemoglobin Detection Programme for girl children at Poirei Nawakon Achanbigei today under the theme 'Leave No One Behind'.
Former HOD, Medicine, RIMS, Dr S Bhagyabati Devi, Gynaecologist Dr Naorem Bandana Devi of Babina Hospital, Sangai Trust Foundation managing trustee Salam Prasanta Singh, Leima Chanu Nawa Tengbang Lup secretary Khangembam Shantibala Devi, senior nurses Sh Ibechoubi Devi, Th Binodini Devi, nursing officer Th Reeta Chanu, and members Kh Kusum, Sapam Sharatchandra Singh, and Ronald Ningthoujam of Inchemi Health Specialities attended the camp.
Speaking on the occasion, Salam Prasanta said the camp aimed to screen orphaned girl children for anaemia through haemoglobin tests.
He added that necessary medicines would be provided and follow-up care ensured to prevent diseases linked to deficiency.
The initiative seeks to address health challenges faced by vulnerable girls as they grow.
