Hunphun VA clarifies on MR rifleman's death

Ukhrul, October 06 2024: While expressing its deepest anguish, the Hunphun village authority has issued clarification regarding the untimely demise of Worrinmi Thumrah of Lunghar village on October 2, 2024 .

In a statement on Sunday, the Hunphun VA stated that late Worrinmi Thumrah of 6th Bn MR, was found death during the time of indiscriminate firing by armed miscreants sponsored by THYSO around 10:30-10:45 am, where the forwarding crowd from the northern side was ambushed by them.

"The self-justification exposes the guilty conscience of Hungpung village.

This clearly indicates that the deceased 6th MR personnel was intentionally shot by them in the short span of killing spree," it said.

The Hunphun VA further rubbished the charges of firing upon "the social work participants of Hungpung Village and on killing of the 6th MR personnel" as mentioned in their condolence message, while strongly condemning the ulterior motive to mislead the masses without establishing any facts or evidences.

"We humbly pray that whoever committed the heinous act would hold the sole responsibility.

May the wrath of God Almighty fall upon them," the statement added.
