Governor chairs JNMDA Advisory Committee Meet

Imphal, July 04 2026: Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla chaired the Advisory Committee Meeting of Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy (JNMDA) at the Conference Hall, Lok Bhavan, Imphal, on Saturday.

The meeting began with a one-minute silence to pay tribute to eminent Gurus who passed away during 2025-26, including Ratan Thiyam, Khumanthem Prakash Singh, Prof N Tombi Singh, and Kshetrimayum Thouranisabi Devi.

Important agenda items related to the development of the Academy were discussed.

The meeting was attended by Raju Das, Secretary, Sangeet Natak Akademi (SNA), Sanjay Kumar Choudhary, General Council Member, SNA, along with Gurus and officials of JNMDA .

Later, Dr Sandhya Purecha, Chairman, SNA, New Delhi, called on the Governor at Lok Bhavan, Imphal.
