SAHS students donate blood boost lifesaving supplies

Imphal, March 02 2026: The Students' Council of Shija Academy of Health Sciences (SAHS), Langol, conducted a one-day voluntary blood donation camp today in observance of Rare Diseases Day.

The initiative, themed "Donate Blood, Save Lives", aimed to strengthen the blood supply for patients in need as part of the council's ongoing commitment to community service.

The camp witnessed active participation from MBBS students of SAHS, with a total of 57 volunteers, including both regular and first-time donors.

Ningthiba Thokchom, president of the Students' Council and a fourth-time donor, emphasized the critical impact of such actions, stating that "blood donation is a meaningful way to support distressed families during critical times".

The Council has reaffirmed its dedication to continuing regular blood donation drives in the future.
