ADAM launches solo tree plantation drive

Kakching, June 01 2026: Alliance for Development Alternatives Manipur (ADAM), as part of its ongoing environmental campaign titled "U-wa Tharasi, U-wa Hinghalasi," launched a solo tree plantation programme on Monday at Angaan Ching Eco Park, Kakching.

The plantation drive forms part of the organisation's 100-day initiative, "Yelhou Pambising Kanbada Angamba Thoudang Lourasi," which was launched on May 22, 2026 with the objective of identifying, protecting and conserving indigenous plant species.

Marking the begining of the solo plantation initiative, Inaosana.

Asst Teacher at Kakching Pubic School and president of Friendship Sporting Club, planted a Jackfruit (Theibong) sapling.

The event was attended by ADAM Kakching secretary and Angaan Ching Eco Park Management Committee coordinator Surjit Kshetrimayum, Honorary Caretaker of Angaan Ching Eco Park Biramangol Pukhrambam, and some students of the Kakching Public School.

Inaosana expressed his commitment to supporting ADAM Kakching's efforts to transform Angaan Ching Eco Park into a vibrant green zone.

He also appealed to the public to actively participated in planting and nurturing trees for a greener and healthier environment.
