Precautionary steps on against Mpox

With Mpox, known as monkeypox, spreading fast in different parts of the world, the State Government has taken up necessary precautionary measures, said Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Sapam Ranjan.
Speaking to media persons at his Lamphelpat office today, Dr Sapam Ranjan said that the World Health Organisation (WHO) has taken up several precautionary and control measures against Mpox in different countries.
Even though no Mpox case has been detected in India so far, the Government of India has taken up several precautionary measures, he said.
Dr Ranjan said that he has held two rounds of meetings with State Government officials on Mpox.
The State Government has been in touch with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Mpox.
The State Government has been following the protocol and guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Mpox, he added.
