Nishikant stresses on positives of healthy society

Imphal, August 28 2024: A free medical camp was held at Urban Health & Wellness Centre at Takhel Leikai (Khwairakpam Leikai), today.

The medical camp was organised under the supervision of Keishamthong AC MLA Nishikant Sapam and National Urban Health Mission by Urban Primary Health Centre, Kwakeithel; Urban Health & Wellness Center Takhel Leikai and CRLC Khwairakpam Leikai.

Facility to screen different type of ailments and medicines were opened during the camp free of cost.

Speaking at the event, Nishikant said that more such medical camps need to be organised to make 'our society' healthy by letting people identify health issues early.

He also said that organising more free health camps would make it easier for low income people to get check-ups and treatment apart from preventing spread of communicable diseases.

Saying that there is also a need to take up pro-active measures to prevent spread of water borne diseases during rainy season, the MLA expressed desire for more free health camps to be organised and make Manipur a healthy society.

Meanwhile, Nishikant inspected the measures being taken up under his supervision to prevent flooding in the Constituency, today.

The MLA visited Meino Leirak today and inspected the dredging work done by members of Team Nishikant at the locality.

He was welcomed by the club volunteers and womenfolk of the locality and thanked the MLA for the work.
