Imphal, April 28 2026:
The Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) has lined up a public convention on "Three Years of Manipur Crisis" on May 3, 2026.Speaking to media persons at their Lamphelpat office today, COCOMI convenor YK Dhiren appealed to all communities of Manipur to join the convention.
He said that the three year old crisis will be deliberated at length together with several organisations, Meira Paibi Lups and clubs at the convention.
Saying that COCOMI has been working to organise similar public conventions in different districts, Dhiren appealed to all the people to light up lamps at each and every residential gate at 7 pm on May 3 in honour of all those people who laid down their lives for the cause of Manipur.
He further appealed to all to raise collective slogans demanding convincing replies from the Government to the seven questions raised during a mass rally on April 25.The reply given by the Home Minister in response to the seven questions submitted to the Chief Minister did not reflect any intention of the Government to resolve the crisis, he remarked.
The Home Minister's reply did not reflect a concrete position of the Government.
As such, the Home Minister's reply cannot be taken as the Government's response, the COCOMI convenor said.
The reply given by the Home Minister will also be studied at the public convention scheduled for May 3 .
Moreover, the next course of people's movement will be discussed at the convention, he said.
Together with the people, COCOMI will take a decision on the State Government's invitation for dialogue.
The people's decision will be final, Dhiren said before adding that the protest will go on.
