KYKL condoles, others join mourning

The proscribed Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) deeply mourned the demise of its MYL cadre 'private' Moirangthem Nanao alias Ngamba and shared pain and grief of the bereaved family.
According to a KYKL statement, private Nanao (35), son of Moirangthem Mani and Moirangthem Loidang of Tuibong, Churachandpur, died in a sniper attack carried out by Indian forces and their proxy forces including Kuki National Front (B) along the Kangleipak-Myanmar border on May 19 around 11 am.
Private Ngamba was performing duty in the frontline of a battlefield�where the combined revolutionary forces of Kangleipak (Manipur) are fighting against Indian forces and their proxy forces�when he was hit by a sniper bullet and martyred for the motherland.
Private Ngamba was the youngest of five siblings and his house was torched by Chin-Kuki narco-terrorists
on the first day of the ongoing 'proxy war' waged by India to uproot Kangleipak (Manipur) since May 3, 2023.Ngamba was among the thousands of Meetei people forced out from Churachandpur and the proxy war forced him to separate from his beloved Khongjai origin wife and children, it said.
Born and brought up in Churachandpur, Ngamba had no difficulty in finding answers as to why Chin-Kuki narco-terrorists attacked indigenous Meeteis and their objectives behind the attack and why Meeteis are forced to become refugees in their own land.
He knew clearly that the ongoing conflict is a proxy war of India to destroy instinct of the Meeteis and uproot Kangleipak (Manipur) .
Accordingly, Ngamba decided to join revolutionary movement to protect dignity of indigenous peoples and to restore the lost sovereignty of Manipur, stated the KYKL statement issued by publicity and research secretary A Yaiphaba.
The statement further said that Ngamba joined KYKL in November, 2024 and completed Basic Military Training in the second batch of 2025 and thus, inducted into organisation's armed wing Meeyamgi Yawol Lanmee (MYL) from March, 2025.Ngamba served in MYL as a disciplined and dedicated revolutionary till the unfortunate May 19 incident, the KYKL statement said and shared pain and grief of the bereaved family.
Meanwhile, the proscribed Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP), People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak-Progressive (PREPAK-Pro), Koireng-led United National Liberation Front (UNLF) and Revolutionary People's Front (RPF) along with its armed wing - People's Liberation Army (PLA) also expressed deep condolences on the demise of Ngamba and paid revolutionary salute to the fallen revolutionary.
In separate statements, the revolutionary organisations honoured the sacrifice made by private Ngamba for the motherland Manipur and extended solidarity to the bereaved family in their hour of crisis.
