Imphal, February 23 2025:
BJP MLA Lourembam Rameshwor has categorically stated that there is little chance of N Biren returning as the State's Chief Minister.
The MLA was speaking at the inaugural function of MEETEI Shanglen at Khurai Ahongei, Imphal East today.
The current situation of Manipur needs an elected Government.
As such, BJP MLAs have been working together in consultation with the party's State unit president to form a popular Government at the earliest, Rameshwor said.
Claiming that there is no difference of opinion or rift among the BJP MLAs now, Rameshwor further said that the BJP MLAs no longer have any grudges or grievances against ex-Chief Minister N Biren, even if they had any in the past, following his resignation on February 9 .

Exuding confidence that the Centre would appoint a capable leader this time, the MLA representing Keirao Assembly Constituency said that the BJP MLAs would work together to form a new Government if the Centre does not elect a new leader.
At the same time, the MLAs have been asking the relevant authorities not to impose the President's Rule for long and also not to take up any step which can aggravate the people's suffering until a solution is worked out to the protracted crisis, Rameshwor further said.
MLA Thangjam Arunkumar noted that Manipur is currently facing a political uncertainty following the sudden resignation of N Biren from the post of Chief Minister.
There is no question of BJP MLAs fighting for Ministerial posts or leadership, he said.
"I don't think there will be any dispute when the Centre or the BJP Manipur Pradesh appoints someone as the new leader", Arunkumar said.
He also underscored the importance of preserving and promoting indigenous faith, culture and traditions.
