Imphal, August 17 2026: Prizes of the FIFA World Cup 2026 prediction contest organised by The Sangai Express with support from different sponsors were distributed today.

The prize distribution ceremony took place today at the office of The Sangai Express at Sega Road, Thouda Bhabok Leikai.

The prizes were handed over by Editor (Manipuri edition) Khogendra Khomdram, Manager Sapam Sachin, along with staff members of the publication and sponsors of the prizes.

The world's most popular sports event, the FIFA World Cup 2026, jointly hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States from June 11 to July 19 was participated by 48 teams from six confederations.

Draw of lots for The Sangai Express FIFA World Cup 2026 Prediction Contest was held on August 6 .

Winner of the World Cup (Spain) 1st Prize Winner: Heikham Memton Leima (Keishampat Leimajam Leikai) and she won a prize of Rs one lakh, sponsored by NIS Imphal Rs 50,000), SS Career Solutions, Paona International Market Rs 30,000) and MCS Imphal Constructions Rs 20,000) .

Ningthoujam Vrishtina (Keishamthong Elangbam Leikai) won the contest for the second question (which team will be the runners-up?-- Argentina) and she bagged Rs 30,000 sponsored by MECI Explorer Academy, Changangei Ucheckon.

The second prize of the same question was won by Thongam Hemachandra Singh (Kakwa Makha Nameirakpam Leikai) and he pocketed a cash prize of Rs 20,000 cash sponsored by Edutruth Kota Coaching Classes, Konjeng Leikai.

Likmabam Nongpoknganba Singh (Sagolband Tera Loukham Leirak) and Irengbam Renison (Lamboi Khongnangkhong) won the contest for the third question (which team will win the third position? --England), and they bagged cash prizes of Rs 20,000 each sponsored by Shree Manikumar Jeweller and GIBDE Motors Pvt Ltd .

Romi Samjetsabam (Malom), Ngayin Raihing (Dewlahland) and Anena Thokchom (Uripok Sorbon Thingel) won the contest for the fourth question (who will win the Golden Ball?-- Rodri) and they bagged Rs 10,000 each sponsored by Millennium Institute of Sciences (Kwakeithel Mayaikoibi), PCTC (Khoyathong), and Delta Advance School (Kwakeithel Taobungkhok) .

Achuk Ngalung (Khuman Lampak), Jainarayan Kshetrimayum (Chingamakha Kshetri Leikai) and Irengbam Renison (Lamboi Khongnangkhong) won the contest for the fifth question (who will win the Golden Boot ?-- Kylian Mbappe) and they pocketed a cash prize of Rs 10,000 each, sponsored by Concept Tutorial (Thangmeiband), Oinam Sananingthou Meitei (Ningthoukhong), and Saraswati Institute of Management and Paramedical Science (Pangei) .

Ningthoujam Bonde (Wangkhei Hijam Leirak), Keisham Tomchouba Singh (Top Khongnang Makhong), Y Suresh (Khabam Lamkhai), and Laimayum Mema Devi (Bamon Leikai Sangai Chuthek) won the contest for the sixth question (who will win the golden Glove?-- Unai Simon) .

Ningthoujam Bonde received a cash prize of Rs 10,000 sponsored by Job Centre while the other three bagged Rs 500 each sponsored by Ibemhal Academy (Thangmeiband), Imprint Science Academy (Changangei), and Leiren Jewellery (Sega Road, Thouda Bhabok Leikai) .

Rozy Wahengbam (Nambol Khathong Makha Leikai), Langpoklakpam Shanta (Thangmeiband Hijam Dewan Leikai), and Md Akhter Rajaque (Keirao Makting Mayai Leikai) won the contest for the seventh question (who will be best young player?-- Pau Cubarsi) .

Rozi Wahengbam they bagged a cash prize of Rs 10,000 sponsored by HRC (Keishampat) while the other two pocketed Rs 5000 each sponsored by Sangai Tutorial (Kwakeithel), and Little Explorers (Fairyland, Khuman Lampak) respectively.

Roseline Pampuinath (Senapati), Thingnam Sudhir (Singjamei Chingamakha Yanglem Leikai), Waikhom Robichandra (Okram Chuthek Wangkhei Loumanbi), Nameirakpam Nganthoi Chanu (Nagamapal Soram Leikai), and Khamnam Leishemba Khuman (Kongba Kshetri Leikai) won the contest for the eighth question (which team will win the Fair Play Trophy? -- Netherlands) and they bagged a cash prize of Rs 10,000 sponsored by JCRE Skill Solutions, Thangmeiband Meisnam Leikai.
