Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club this afternoon, AISGEC Manipur unit secretary M Joykumar said that Government of Manipur employees affiliated to different organisations and trade unions would take part in the march as a collective unit.
The Nationwide agitation and the march to Parliament on April 11 are against policies of the Centre and State Governments.
The Parliament march on April 11 will appeal the Governments to address 16 demands--
1) Restore the Statutory Pension Scheme
2) Save Civil Service and change Civil Service
3) Fill up the vacancies by selection through the constitutionally set up bodies
4) Avoid delay in releasing of Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR)

AISGEC said the civil service all over India is being downsized.
More than 10.50 lakh permanent posts are lying vacant in Central service alone.
This is the position in States also with around 38 lakh permanent posts lying vacant in the States except in Kerala, said AISGEC.
In the States of UP, Rajasthan, MP, Gujarat, West Bengal, Bihar and Odisha, more than 50% of the posts are lying vacant.
With the lack of a statutory pension scheme, the future of the Govt employees is in the dark.
Unemployment is growing at an alarming rate.
Prices of essential commodities have been inflated and the Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) are not being sanctioned regularly in most of the States.
While poverty is at a high, the wealth of the corporates are steadily accumulating.
Health and education services are becoming more expensive, said the AISGEC, appealing to State Government teachers and employees to participate in the Parliament march on April 11 .
