Imphal, August 12 2026: Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla, today, graced the State-level Tiranga Concert held as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign 2026 at the Manipur State Film Development Society (MSFDS), Imphal.

Chief Minister, Yumnam Khemchand; Deputy Chief Ministers Losii Dikho and Nemcha Kipgen (virtually); Home Minister Govindas Konthoujam, Tourism Minister Khuraijam Loken, Members of the Manipur Legislative Assembly, Chief Secretary and other distinguished guests attended the event, said a press note issued by Lok Bhavan.

As part of the celebration, the writer, composer and artistes of Roop Raag, who premiered Manipur's State Song Sana Leibak Manipur in 1967, were felicitated by the Governor in recognition of their contribution to the State's cultural heritage.

The celebration also featured a patriotic song performance by artistes of Shri Shri Bal Mukunda Dev Music College, followed by a choreographic presentation by the Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy (JNMDA) .

Addressing the event, the Governor called upon citizens to actively participate in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign 2026 by bringing the National Flag home and hoisting it with pride.

He emphasised that bringing the Tiranga home is more than an act of celebration; it is a personal expression of one's connection with the Nation and a collective affirmation that Nation-building is a shared responsibility, in which every citizen has a role to play.

Bhalla said, the 2026 campaign assumes special significance as the Nation commemorates 150 years of Vande Mataram, whose enduring message of patriotism and love for the motherland continues to inspire generations.

The Governor also highlighted Manipur's contribution to the Commonwealth Games 2026, particularly its achievements, as a source of pride for the State and the Nation.

He further acknowledged the artistes and musicians whose creativity has enriched Manipur's cultural identity, with a special mention of "Sana Leibak Manipur," the State Song, which beautifully captures the spirit, heritage and pride of Manipur.

He urged citizens to make the Tiranga a visible expression of unity, dignity, courage and collective responsibility.

Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand, on the other hand, said that the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign was launched under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

"The event is a powerful reminder that while we may belong to different communities, speak different languages and follow different faiths, we are all equal citizens of a great Nation," he added.

He urged all citizens to hoist the Tiranga at their homes as a symbol of their pride in being Indians.
