Urging the Union Government to repeal the 'unconstitutional' Act, he said that unity of people is needed to face the deliberate attempt of the Government to suppress the minority communities.
Further stating that Waqf properties are charitable in nature, Islahuddin claimed that the sole aim of amending the Waqf Act is to loot the Waqf properties.
Continuing that allowing non Muslim members to join Waqf Board is an insult to them, he asked if the same can be done to Hindu or Christian trusts.
Labelling the Waqf (Amendment) Act as a black law, he urged the Government to repeal the legislation.
He also urged the Government to stop politicising religions.
