President Droupadi Murmu presented the National Handloom Award to Takhellambam Rani Devi on 12th National Handloom Day at New Delhi today.
Takhellambam Rani Devi hails from Kakching Khunou Awang Keithel Leikai.
She won the award for her Shaphee Lanphee in Silk Innaphi in the women weavers category.

The award recognised her contribution to preserving and promoting Manipur's rich weaving traditions and indigenous textile craftsmanship.
Takhellambam Rani Devi is among 22 master artisans, designers and organisations from across the country who received the Sant Kabir Handloom Awards and National Handloom Awards for their contribution to India's handloom heritage.
