DGP reviews situation at Noney

Imphal, July 07 2026: Director General of Police (DGP) Mukesh Singh visited Noney Police Headquarters today and reviewed the prevailing law and order situation in the district.

According to a police bulletin, he was accompanied by ADG (L&O), IG and other senior police officers during the visit.

During the review meeting, the DGP emphasised the need to maintain law and order, strengthen anti-extortion operations, and ensure prompt investigation and disposal of pending cases.

The DGP also visited the CRPF camp at Lamdangmai in Nungba Sub Division to assess the security situation in the fringe area and chaired a coordination meeting with the commanding officers of Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) deployed in the district.

The meeting placed special emphasis on ensuring adequate security for the movement of essential commodities along National Highway 37 .

Later, the DGP interacted with civil society leaders of Noney.

He appealed to the public to extend support in maintaining law and order in the State.
