Grading system for Class XII exams set to come in

Imphal, May 07 2026:
A Cabinet meeting was convened today at the Chief Minister's Secretariat.
During the meeting, several agendas were discussed and approved.
Among others, the Cabinet agreed to introduce Relative Grading System in the Class XI examination and Higher Secondary (Class XII) Examination conducted by COHSEM from 2026 and 2027 respectively.
The Cabinet also approved appointment of meritorious sportspersons from Manipur who won gold medals in the 36th and 37 th National Games and bronze medals in the 18th Asian Games to suitable jobs across different departments of the State.

The meeting was chaired by Chief Minister Y Khemchand.
In a social media post, he stated that key issues relating to the State's administration and governance were deliberated in detail during the meeting.
He also said that each agenda was examined with due diligence, enabling informed and forward looking decisions to recalibrate critical aspects of governance and guide Manipur's development trajectory.
