Bhalla reviews highway projects

Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla reviewed the progress of National Highway projects in Manipur, just a day after chairing a security meeting today.
The review meeting, held at Raj Bhavan, included officials from the National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), said a press release from Raj Bhavan.
During the meeting, NHIDCL's Executive Director, MS Deval, briefed the Governor on the status of National Highway projects across various regions of Manipur.
Deval highlighted the key challenges hindering the execution of these projects, which the Governor urged the authorities to address and overcome.
The Governor emphasized the importance of completing the projects on time, stressing that timely completion is crucial for the State's development.
Inspector General of CRPF Rajendra Narayan Das and Additional PCCF, and Secretary of Manipur Land Resources Department also attended the meeting.
Meanwhile, members of the Red Cross, Senapati branch, called on the Governor at Raj Bhavan, today.
The members apprised the Governor of the challenges they face while carrying out humanitarian duties in the region.
The Governor appreciated the Red Cross members for their efforts and assured them that their concerns would be addressed.
