Imphal, January 03 2016: With the election to 18 Municipal Councils and eight Nagar Pancha-yats approaching fast.

BJP has intensified its poll campaign targeting Congress party in the process.

Speaking at Lamlai, MLA Thongam Bishwajit said that Congress party has been wiped out from Thongju A C and Thangmeiband A/C.People of the two constituencies have demonstrated that Congress party's money power and muscle power cannot always influence voters.

It has been 68 years since India achieved independence and Congress party was in power for 5~ years.

Likewise, the same party is was ruling Manipur for 40 years.

But the development levels of the country as well as the State are far below people's expectation and aspiration.

There were hardly any Congress leaders who were not involved in graft practices, said Bishwajit adding that he joined BJP with a view to bring a revolution in the electoral politics of the State Although it has been just 20 months since Nareodra Modi took the seat of the country's Prime Minister, he has launched 20 different welfare programmes.

In line with Mahatma Gan-who is revered as the father of the Nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched Swachh Bharat Mission in 2014, Bishwajit said.

He then appealed to all the people of Lamlai to elect all BJP candidates and ensure that BJP form the next Stae Govenment after the State Assembly election of 2017 .

At Lilong, BJP Manipur Pradesh general secretary (administration) M Ashnikumar accused the Congress party ; misleading the public since the past many years even as they have been advocating secularism and eradication of poverty.

This was testified without any doubt when BJP won absolute majority in the Lok Sabha election of 2014 .

Out of the total 80 Lok Sabha seats of UP, BJP secured 72 seats while Congress managed to win only two seats.

In the previous term.

Congress party was in power in all the six ADCs of the State but this time Congress party could retain power only in two ADCs.

People now see 'corruption, commission and communal' in Congress party, Ashnikumar said.

He went on to claim that BJP is not a sectarian or nosecular political party.
