Imphal, June 01 2024:
The proscribed PREPAK(Pro) has under-scored the need for 'ideo- logical preparedness' for a socio-political and economic movement in order to save the society and reverse its sorry state.
With the establishment of narco-open markets by narco-terrorist groups and drug cartels which are being allegedly supported by India, the 'sportive society' of Manipur has been transformed into a society of drug addicts, PREPAK(Pro) Chairman Longjam Paliba M remarked in a statement issued on the occasion of the outfit's 14th Progressive Day (June 1) .
He said that most of the Meitei politicians have also become addicted to India's 'political opium' .
With their brains replaced by artificial intelligence (AI), these Meitei politicians have been transformed into robots who cannot speak against Delhi, Paliba alleged.
He said that a movement for a collective ideology is necessary to eradicate Delhi's 'political virus' .
Although the people of Manipur have been demanding abrogation of SoO agreement and implementation of NRC, and the same demands have been endorsed by the State Govern- ment, New Delhi finds these demands to be an anathema, said the PREPAK(Pro) Chairman.
The Centre knows very well that Meiteis are one community which is highly fragmented and can be easily swayed with threats and money, and the recent election exposed the political immaturity of Meiteis, according to the Chairman's statement.
Saying that patriotism without ideology is an illusion, Paliba called upon all the people to build an 'ideology of awakening' in the wake of the May 3 incident.
He said that lack of clarity in one's ideology is a major factor for one's defeat or downfall.
He further called upon the Meitei people to prioritize the community's interests.
"The notion that Delhi would solve our problems and work for our development is a manifestation of colonised mindset.
We must shed this mindset", Paliba added.
