Bishnupur, December 30 2017: A combined team of Bishnupur district police conducted frisking and checking at Kwakta Pangal Lamkhai on December 29 .

A press release issued by SP, Bishnupur, Jogeshchandra Haobijam stated that one person was detained due to his suspicious manner and during body search, 690 numbers of SP capsules were seized from his possession.

On preliminary verification, he identified himself as Md Hasam of Kwakta Khuman, ward no 1 .

Meanwhile, another team of Bishnupur district police conducted frisking at Gothol road, ward no 8, Kwakta on the same day where one Maruti Suzuki bearing no registration number was checked.

During body search, five packets of WY tablets (1000 pieces in total) were seized from the driver.

The driver has been identified as Md Arip Khan alias Arif of Kwakta Khuman, ward no 5, it stated.

The arrested persons along with the seized articles were handed over to OC, Moirang Police Station and two cases have been registered at the police station for investigation.
