MP Sanajaoba urges Centre for rehabilitation, solution

Rajya Sabha MP and titular king of Manipur Leishemba Sanajaoba has urged the Central government for providing a rehabilitation package for the displaced people of the state and resolving the crisis at the earliest.
He made the appeal during a special mention address in Rajya Sabha on Monday.
In his speech, Sanajaoba, highlighting the current situation in the state said that the simmering tension is gradually subsiding and normalcy inching slowly, bringing hope for a peaceful solution in the near future.
He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and chief minister N Biren for their steadfastness, far-sightedness, expertise, and untiring efforts taking the state closer to the path of peace and normalcy.
However, he urged the Union government to make more effort and provide a timely push to quicken the peace process and resettlement of the displaced people.
He emphasised that the people of Manipur have suffered enough and need respite now.
The MP demanded that the Union government to provide an appropriate rehabilitation package, a long-term solution for peaceful co-existence, and other necessary arrangements to restore the peaceful and glorious past of Manipur.
