Reason for many flocking to BJP: Loteeka

Kakching, October 28 2021: In connection with the upcoming 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly Election, BJP Mahila Morcha Kakching District organised a Mahila Sammelan for BJP Sugnu Mandal Mahila Morcha at Kakching Khunou Community Hall, Sugnu AC on Thursday.

The Sammelan was attended by BJP Mahila Morcha Manipur in-charge and BJP National Executive member Sumitra Laloo; Manipur Pradesh Mahila Morcha president L Loteeka Leima, in-charge T Meena Devi; Mahila Morcha Kakching District in-charge L Promila Devi; Sugnu AC intending BJP candidate and BJP Mahila Morcha Kakching District president Salam Birla Devi; BJP Sugnu Mandal Mahila Morcha president Mayanglambam Chitreshwari Devi; BJP Kakching District president Usham Ibomcha; BJP Sugnu Mandal president Abujam Ibotombi; Kakching Khunou Municipal Council ex-vice chairperson Khumukcham Gojendro; Sugnu Municipal Council ex-councillor Moirangthem Nanao; Sugnu AC intending BJP candidates Yumnam Jiban, Thingnam Ibomcha and Dr K Muktasana as presidium members.

Delivering the key note address, Salam Birla said that the Mahila Sammelan was organised with the aim of spreading awareness about the roles to be played by BJP Sugnu Mandal Mahila Morcha members in view of the upcoming election while Sumitra Laloo lauded the will power of the women of Manipur.

She then said that women have several roles in the society, each of which is equally important for its progress and development.

The same holds true with regard to electoral process, she added.

In her speech, L Loteeka Leima said that the BJP government has been taking up various welfare projects for the people of the state.

Mothers, who had to protest for safeguarding basic human rights during the time of Congress government, are now able to live peacefully under the present government.

She urged for remembering the various works taken up by the BJP Government for the welfare of the people, and ensure large number of BJP candidates attain victory in the upcoming election.

Commenting on the huge number of intending BJP candidates in Sugnu AC, Loteeka attributed the cause to the backwardness of the constituency.

Although there are many intending candidates, the one who receives the party ticket will be equally supported by all concerned.

Observing that one of the candidates is a woman, Loteeka hoped that the lady candidate would be the one to receive the party ticket.
