Imphal, June 28 2025: Representatives of Sambu Raiping Long, the apex civil society of Sahamphung Block, called on Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla at Raj Bhavan, Imphal today.

The team led by SRL chairman Songachan Zimik, Tennyson Shimray, Yangmi Nakhedei, Ningreishang (headman Chatric), Kaphaoleng Angkang (headman Sahamphung), Ramsing Kasha (VA secretary Chatric) and Ngahanpam Haorei apprised the Governor of various issues faced by the people in their respective villages, including poor road conditions, inadequate healthcare facilities, lack of quality education, and insufficient access to other essential public services.

As per a release issued by the PRO Raj Bhavan, the team also highlighted the urgent need for Government intervention to improve infrastructure, ensure the delivery of basic amenities, and promote development.

The Governor gave a patient hearing and assured the members that appropriate action would be taken to address their concerns.
