RIMS organises health camp for children

Bishnupur, August 26 2026: A mega multidisciplinary health camp for children residing in Child Care Institutes (CCIs) across Bishnupur district was organised at Glory Children Home, Moirang Thamnapokpi.

The camp was held under the Nanhi Muskan (Little Smile) 2026 Project of the Indian Society of Paediatric and Preventive Dentistry (ISPPD), said RIMS Imphal.

The programme was organised by the Department of Paediatric and Preventive Dentistry, Dental College, RIMS, Imphal, in collaboration with the Social Welfare Department, Government of Manipur.

A multidisciplinary team from RIMS comprising specialists from Paediatrics, ENT, Dermatology and Dental provided comprehensive health screening, consultation and necessary treatment to around 180 children from various CCIs across Bishnupur district.

The dental team conducted oral screening, restorations, extractions and topical fluoride application, along with oral health education and demonstrations of proper tooth-brushing techniques.

Toothbrushes and necessary medications were also distributed to the children.
