Surgiquiz and CME on 'Robotic Surgery' conducted

The Association of Surgeons of India (ASI), Manipur State Chapter organised Prof S Rajendra Singh ASI Surgiquiz 2026 and a Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme on Robotic Surgery on August 22 at BM Auditorium, Babina Hospital Complex, Khabeisoi.
The Surgiquiz was participated by postgraduate surgery students from RIMS, JNIMS and SHRI.
Dr Vishal Salam was the Quiz Master, with Dr Gobind Kshetrimayum and Dr Jenifer Sanasam as scorers.
Dr Nongmaithem Yaipha Meitei and Dr Nirav Rupareliya emerged winners and will represent ASI Manipur State Chapter at the National ASI Surgiquiz during ASICON 2026 in Ahmedabad, with travel assistance from the Chapter.
The CME was graced by Prof Ngairangbam Bijoy Singh, Founder Chairman, ASI Manipur, Prof Sinam Rajendra Singh, former Chairman, ASI Manipur and Prof Ningthoujam Somorjit Singh, Chairman, ASI Manipur as presidium members.
Dr Jenifer Sanasam delivered the welcome address while Dr Dhanabir Thangjam proposed the vote of thanks.
Eminent faculty from MAX Healthcare, Delhi, Dr Nitin Leekha, Senior Director, Surgical Oncology, spoke on "Robotic HPB & Colorectal Surgery" while Dr Tanu Pradhan spoke on "Minimally Invasive and Robotic Approach in Thyroid Surgery" .
