18 new Covid cases detected

Imphal, June 25 2025:
The number of COVID-19 active cases in the state rose to 152 as 18 new cases were detected on Wednesday.
As of now, the state has recorded 189 positive cases and no deaths.
In the last 24 hours, 59 samples were tested, of which 18 tested positive, putting the positivity rate at 30.5 per cent.
Of the 152 cases, 138 are in home isolation, and the rest hospitalised.
Three have recovered and eventually discharged.
A total of 42 samples were tested from Imphal West, of which 13 tested positive putting the positivity rate at 31.0 per cent.
In Imphal East, three out of seven samples tested positive, a positivity rate of 42.9 per cent; in Thoubal, one out of four samples tested positive putting the positivity rate at 25.0 per cent; and in Chandel, the lone sample returned positive.
Meanwhile, at the national level, 292 people tested positive in the last 24 hours, raising the total count to 3793 active cases and 698 discharged.
Around 22,333 people have been discharged and 127 deaths reported since January 1 .
