Free eye camp benefits over 300 senior citizens at Moirang

Imphal, May 25 2026: A one-day free eye camp was organised on Sunday at Moirang Chengei Leikai under the initiative of former MLA of Moirang Mairembam Prithviraj.

During the camp, more than 300 senior citizens from various localities of Moirang Assembly Constituency underwent examination for cataract and other eye-related ailments.

Free medicines and spectacles were also distributed to the patients.

Speaking on the occasion, M Prithviraj stated that free eye camps have been organised across Moirang AC since February this year and informed that the camp held on Sunday was the third such initiative conducted in the constituency.

He further stated that free spectacles were provided to senior citizens above 60 years of age during the camp.

He added that arrangements for free cataract operations were also being provided for patients diagnosed with cataract He also informed that similar eye camps would continue to be organised in various polling areas of the constituency in the coming days to ensure better healthcare support for the people, especially senior citizens.
