NSCN-Khole/Kitovi hits out at NSCN-IM, NSCN-K, ZUF

The Khole-Kitovi group of the NSCN, Zeliangrong Region has alleged that the activities of outfits such as NSCN-IM, Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) and NSCN-K continue to be detrimental factors for the agents working for peace in the Zeliangrong areas.
The Zeliangrong Region, NSCN-Khole/Kitovi on Thursday said violence continues to persist in the region generated from the ZUF, NSCN-IM and NSCN-Khaplang.
It said, "In spite of the various declarations made by Zeliangrong civil bodies and elders there have been bloodshed in the Zeliangrong Region" .
While coming down heavily on the group responsible for the recent killing of Zeliangrong Students' Union, Manipur (ZSUM) secretary Chunthuigai Kamei, the NSCN-Khole/Kitovi of Zeliangrong Region said the Khaplang group continues to ignore the calls of the Naga intellectuals, public leaders and civil society organisations for reconciliation.
It stated that the NSCN-Khaplang still refuses to join the Naga reconciliation process "because they are into killing spree" .
The outfit then advised the NSCN-K to understand the sentiment of the Naga public and carry out its activities.
David Riamei who is the Zeliangrong Region's "Regional Administrative Officer" (RAO) of the NSCN-Khole/Kitovi while recalling how ZSUM secretary Chunthuigai Kamei was shot dead by the NSCN-K, stated that the student leader was killed for no reason whatsoever.
He claimed that the slain student leader was innocent, sincere in his work and a qualified person.
"How can a revolutionary fight for a benign cause by intimidating people, threatening media persons, killing peace makers etc., etc.?" questions David Riamei, adding,"Those elements are nothing but a gang fighting their daily comforts" .
Meanwhile, the family members and relatives of late Chungthuigai Kamei, ZSUM secretary who was killed in the morning of August 17 at Longkao village located along National Highway 37 by the cadrers of NSCN-K, Zeliangrong Region extended their heartfelt gratitude to all those who had physically, financially, materially and morally helped them and brought the mortal remains of the student leader home safely and also accorded a heroic reception, condolence as well as funeral.
The family members of late Chunthuigai extends gratitude to the villagers of Longkao village, students, women and village authority for their yeoman services.
Besides, Jiri and Barak Zone of Zeliangrong Students' Union, Zeliangrong Baudi, Jiri and Barak Valley Zone, villagers and villager Aathority of Guinanglong,Kamai, Siguilong, Puilon villages, Nungba Area Village Authority Association, Nungba Village Authority, Rongdai Village Authority, Nungba Area Women Society, ZSUNA and all those villages on the highways.
The late ZSUM leader's family members also expressed their thanks to leaders and representatives of UNC, NPMHR, NWU, ANSAM and its subordinate units such as Mao Students Union, Maram Students Union, Thangal Students Union, Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong, Lamkang Students Union, Chiru Tribe Students Union, Inpui Students Union and SDSA.
Also, to the Zeliangrong Baudi, Manipur, Zeliangrong Pui Baudi, Inpui Naga Union, AZSU, ZSUM, ZSULA, ZYF,ZSUTD, Longmai Bazar Board, Village Authority Council of Longnai Area, MCUOLA.
They also expressed their gratitude to the church leaders, women folks of Longmai area.
