Sit-in protest condemns Nambol ambush

Moirang, September 22 2025: The Ishok Apunba Meira Paibi staged a sit-in protest today at Ishok Keithel, condemning the ambush on Assam Rifles personnel at a public area in Nambol Sabal Leikai on September 19 .

The attack resulted in the death of two jawans and injuries to some others.

During the protest, women from Ishok village turn out in large numbers, carrying placards with messages such as "We Strongly Condemn the Attack at Public Place", "No More Ambush", "Don't' Give Tension to the People".

One woman protester expressed deep resentment over the incident, stating that such attacks in public spaces endanger the lives of innocent civilians.

She appealed to all concerned not to repeat such acts in the future, emphasizing the need for peace and safety for the people.
