Candidates warn of stir

Candidates who appeared for the 2021 written test for 291 Office Assistant posts under the Education (S) Department have urged the State Government to declare the results by the first week of July, warning of agitations if delayed.
Speaking at a press meet at Manipur Press Club today, candidate representative Laishram Lokeshore said the recruitment was first notified in 2016 but scrapped after a new Government took office in 2017 .
A fresh recruitment process was initiated in 2021.Lokeshore noted that four years have passed since the written test, yet results remain pending.
"We demand that the results be declared within the first week of July", he said, adding that candidates would launch various forms of agitation if the deadline is missed.
He further stated that the Government and the Education (S) Department would be held responsible for any consequences arising from the delay.
