Imphal, August 19 2026: The Bless Institute of Health and Allied Sciences (BIHAS) was inaugurated on August 14atKontha Ahallup, Mercylane Road, Imphal East to address the shortage of quality healthcare technologists in Manipur.

Director of Health Services, Manipur, Dr N Hemantakumar attended as chief guest.

Head of Endocrinology, JNIMS, Prof Ksh Achouba presided, while Director, Department of Environment and Climate Change, Dr Th Brajakumar and JNIMS Medical Superintendent Prof Kh Lokeshwor attended as guests of honour.

Speaking at the event, Dr Hemantakumar said new diagnostic methods and technologies are emerging daily and regular training is essential to bridge existing gaps.

He noted that while AI cannot replace doctors, it can support them, and advanced tools like geo-mapping can aid disease detection and treatment.

He added that Government and private healthcare services are not competitors but complementary partners in serving the people.
