Imphal, November 18 2022:
Lambasting the state government, KYKL said that as part of government's project of promoting fake news to suppress the national people's democratic movement underway in Manipur against Indian colonialism, fake homecoming ceremonies are often held with the most recent one being conducted on November 16.In a release issued Friday, KYKL publicity and research secretary A Yaiphaba clarified that the three individuals included in the 'fake' home-coming ceremony, Yumlembam Malemnganba alias Chinglemba (23) from Sugnu Bazar, Nameirakpam Mani from Patchao Part-1, Jiribam and Khundongbam Ranabir alias Joysan (35) from Heirok Part-2 are all renegades who deserted the party years ago.
Their names were crossed off the party's army list long ago, Yaiphaba said, while urging all 'Kanglei' people not to get mislead by the fake news disseminated by the state government.
KYKL alleged that the state government has been spread ing fake news to paint the national liberation movement in a negative light over the years, all designed to mislead people into believing that the movement is collapsing and will cease to exist.
As part of the fake home-coming ceremony, the chief minister claimed that Narendra Modi and Amit Shah have transformed the north eastern part of India, which was once regarded as an insurgency-hit region, as if they have deracinated the national liberation movement from it.
Rather than celebrating their accomplishments, this vain and empty boasting is just to please the central leaders trumped up to gain their support for his regime, Yaiphaba asserted.
Yaiphaba continued that the state government must know that this propaganda will potentially incite rabble-rousing effects on the patriotic youth of Kangleipak thereby reigniting revolutionary flames even in the minds of renegades.
'On behalf of KYKL, I would like to assure the people of Manipur that we will continue our national liberation movement until our sovereignty is restored," Yaiphaba asserted.
