Bee boxes, seeds and saplings distributed in Tamenglong

Tamenglong, April 18 2026: A consultative meeting cum distribution of banana saplings, hybrid summer vegetable seeds and bee boxes was organised at the Training Hall of Gadailong Horticulture Farm, Tamenglong today.

The event was held under the Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) scheme.

MLA of Tamenglong AC Janghemlung Panmei graced the function and distributed the input materials.

Stating that horticulture and agriculture are the backbone of the district's economy, he appealed the fanners to avail maximum benefits from the Department of Horticulture and Soil Conservation and share their valuable feedback.

He further inspected the farm premises and gave assurance to provide water supply and other basic amenities.

Meanwhile, District Officer Dr Roshan Dangmei appealed the public to support the department's development endeavours and to stop any encroachment activities at Gadailong Horticulture Farm which would hamper and discourage the officials/staff of the office.

Farmers appreciated the department's efforts to bring horticulture related development to Tamenglong.

More than 58 farmers/selected beneficiaries under MIDH and PMDDKY attended the program.

Hybrid summer vegetable seeds, such as tomato, chilli, cucumber, brinjal, French beans etc were distributed.
