AR kick starts Winter camp for children of Tamenglong

Tamenglong, December 16 2024: Continuing with the unique initiative, Tamenglong Battalion of Assam Rifles flagged off the 2nd edition of Winter Camp for children of the district, on December 16, 2024 .

According to a release issued by the Assam Rifles, Tamenglong Battalion, the winter camp was flagged off at the Tamenglong Battalion Headquarters of Assam Rifles setting the stage for a six days long camp.

The registrations for the camp saw an overwhelming response.

Out of the more than 150 registered children, 53 volunteers were selected to attend the camp, which aims at providing a wholesome experience to the young children through educational, cultural and adventure activities.

The camp intends to develop innovative thinking, hone natural skills and develop a penchant for hobbies.

The Assam Rifles Tamenglong Battalion continued that, the children would also be taken on outdoor excursions and educated on various social issues through positive indulgence.

The winter camp in restive Tamenglong district would provide a platform for children for enjoyment and holistic growth, who otherwise are devoid of such opportunities.

This would infuse a sense of confidence while contributing significantly towards their comprehensive development.

The local residents have appreciated the initiative and are thrilled for their children to participate in the winter camp.
