CCpur MLA condemns crime against minors

Imphal, April 15 2025: Noting with regret recent incidents of serious crime against young and minor girls, Churachandpur assembly constituency MLA LM Khaute strongly condemned the heinous acts, saying such activities have no place in the society and must be met with swift and decisive legal action.

In a release, MLA Khaute expressed deep pain and fear over such incidents and conveying his solidarity to the victims and their families.

The MLA said he has spoken with the district administration, including deputy commissioner, superintendent of police, and other officials concerned, to ensure that investigations are conduct ed promptly, thoroughly, and with the utmost sensitivity.

He called upon parents and youth of Churachandpur, along with church leaders and civil society, to speak out against such crimes, support those affected, and stand together to protect the dignity and safety of every woman and child in the community.
