KCP observes 42nd Raising Day

Imphal, April 15 2022: Proscribed Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) reportedly observed its 42nd Raising Day at the 131st Battalion of KCP-Miyamgi Fingang Lanmi (MFL) on Thursday, informed a press release of the outfit's Information and Publicity secretary in-charge S Mangal.

According to the release, the observance was attended by Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup Meeyamgi Yawol Lanmee (KYKL/MYL) deputy finance secretary L Ingba as chief guest and KCP/MFL chief of army staff H Ibomcha as president, while KCP/MFL First Battalion CO S Dhana and KCP/MFL G-3 M Robin were present as guests of honour.

The observance commenced with lighting of the ceremonial lamp and hoisting the party flag.

A two-minute silence was also observed as a mark of respect to the deceased martyrs of WESEA.

Later, 131st Bn adjutant T Saiyon delivered the keynote speech, followed by reading of the Central Committee's message to the people given on occasion of the 42nd Raising Day of the outfit.

Speaking on the occasion, L Ingba remarked that human lifespan is short and as such, the outfit's movement is limited.

It is inevitable to face difficulties in this prolonged but limited fight.

Thus, all must work hard to speed up the movement within the present generation so as to avoid any regrets, he added.

N Mani, in his speech, stated that the outfit is working hard for the future generations of the state.

The current leaders of the outfit will soon become old and the young soldiers will be the one leading the movement in the future.

Thus, one must try to gather and absorb as much knowledge as possible while there is still time to become an effective organisation.

Meanwhile, S Dhana said that the movement cannot be successful without the support of the people and thus, it should be a movement for the people, while we serve as an army of the people; while M Robin urged for always standing on the side of the truth.

H Ibomcha observed that Manipur has become dependent on others for resources which were once found/available in abundance in the state.

The act by foreign invaders starving the natives so as to feed their own people is nothing new and the same is currently being done by India to Manipur.

Thus, we should focus on indigenisation to free ourselves of this shackle and help Kangleipak become self-sustainable.

The day was also observed at the outfit's head Quarters, General Head Quarters, Training Centre and other units, the release informed.
