SDSA elects new executive council unopposed

Senapati, October 14 2026: In a first for the Senapati District Students Association (SDSA), all posts in its new executive council for the 2026-2028 tenure were filled unopposed and uncontested yesterday at the NPO Conference Hall in Senapati.

Following the scrutiny and withdrawal process on Monday, all candidates were found eligible to contest the election.

Chief Election Commissioner T Henry Chawang announced during the declaration programme that all candidates have been elected unopposed and uncontested following a mutual understanding among the federating units of the student body.

Newly elected president Asahrii Clement thanked the federating units for placing their trust in him to lead the districtlevel student body.

He assured that he would discharge his responsibilities with a commitment for the betterment of the district's student community.

Later, the chief election commissioner distributed certificates to the newly elected executive council members.
