Thoubal, September 14 2026: A one-day consultation meeting on the theme "Present situation of Chengei Ching Goddess Emoinu" was held today at Chengei Ching Emoinu Ema complex.

The consultation meeting was organised by Chengei Ching Emoinu Thougal Lup, Waithou.

The meeting focused on how to develop Chengei Ching Emoinu Ema complex as per the present standard, ways to expedite developmental activities and how to expand the committee and the importance of this sacred complex with respect to the ancient tradition and rituals.

It may be noted that resolutions were also taken in line with the mentioned topic of discussions.

A tree plantation drive led by Dr Leishangthem Suresh, former candidate from Thoubal Assembly Constituency was also held before the conduct of the meeting.

It was also resolved during the meeting to seek support and cooperation from the public to actualise the developmental works of the sacred complex of Chengei Ching Emoinu Ema.

Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Board Member Secretary Sandham Gandharaj; Chengei Ching Emoinu Thougal Lup former president Wangkhem Ibochou Meitei;former treasurer Asem Tombi Meetei; BJP Thoubal District president Yumnam Kumarjit and social worker and intending candidate from Wangkhem Assembly Constituency Mutum Robindro attended today's meeting among others.
