Imphal, March 14 2026:
Assam Rifles, in collaboration with the Homeland Institute of Security Management, organised a Certificate and Appointment Distribution Ceremony for a Security Guard Training Programme yesterday.
The ceremony, held at the Assam Rifles Skill Development Centre in the Sanjeeveeni Complex, Imphal, marked the successful completion of a fully residential training programme by 50 trainees.
The initiative was supported by the Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) and aimed to equip unemployed youth with professional skills for the security sector.
Of the 50 graduates, 47 received their certificates and appointment letters during the ceremony.
Notably, three trainees from the Kuki community had already secured placements in Pune prior to the event.
Since January 2026, the institute has successfully trained and placed 63 security personnel across India, highlighting the growing impact of such initiatives in creating sustainable livelihoods.
