AR celebrates Children's Day

Chandel, November 13 2024: Assam Rifles organised vibrant Children's Day celebrations at New Samtal, Old Samtal, Sehlon, Phoilen, Tuitong and Kovang villages in Chandel district today.

The events featured a variety of engaging activities that encouraged creativity, talent, interaction and brought joy and fostered community spirit among the local children and their families, said a press release issued by IGAR (S) .

The events consisted of both educational and cultural activities and competitions which included drawing competitions, essay writing competition, poem recitation, and cultural dance and song performances with children enthusiastically participating and captivating the audience with their talent.

Traditional games and fun activities like tug of war and athletics were also organized, adding an element of excitement and fostering camaraderie among the young participants.

Educational kits and prizes for the winners were distributed to encourage the children.

A session to educate children and their families on basic health and hygiene practices, emphasizing the importance of a healthy lifestyle was also organised.

The celebrations witnessed overwhelming support from the local community.

Parents, teachers, and village elders actively participated and appreciated Assam Rifles for its efforts in organizing such meaningful events.
