Delegates from Assam and Tripura pay homage to martyrs at Khongjom

Thoubal, February 12 2026: A 10-member delegation from Assam and Tripura, currently in Manipur to participate in the 18th foundation day celebration of the Patriotic Writers' Forum (PAWF), paid floral tributes to the Khongjom martyrs at Khongjom Kheba Ching in Thoubal district.

The delegates, who have been attending the three-day foundation day programme held from February 8 to 10, visited the historic site under the leadership of PAWF Manipur president Naoroibam Khamba.

They, along with members of the Forum, offered floral tributes and prayers in honour of the martyrs who laid down their lives in the Anglo-Manipuri War.

Those presente included PAWF Tripura Branch, Advisory Board member, Kshetrimayum Madhabi Singha; Manipur Women Literary & Cultural Organisation (MWLCO), Hojai, Advisory Board members Usham Bindarani; Taorem Purnabati; president Huirongbam Kunjabati; secretary Ashem Subhashini; Asst Secretary Seram Pishakmacha; member Irengbam Phajatombi; and Kshetrimayum Benubala.

Thongam Sanjana from Cachar; PAWF Manipur Asst Secretary Laimayum Pratap; and several other Forum members also joined the homage ceremony.
