Senapati, January 12 2025: Various speakers emphasised the pivotal role of youth in societal transformation during the cultural session on the second day of the 42nd General Conference of the Maram Students' Union (MKS), hosted by Maram Bazar Youth & Students' Organisation.

The programme was at tended by S Lunguiba Thangal, SDO/BDO Purul, and Koshoni Phimu, deputy secretary GAD/MA/MI/CADA as guests of honour; and RN Hannah, president Senapati District Women's Association, as special guest.

During her speech, RN Hannah underscored the importance of prayer, unity, and collective effort in fostering positive change within the Maram Community.

She urged attendees to resolve to struggle and work towards building the.

tribe through such gatherings, encouraging students to aspire for excellence and become successful persons to contribute to the society.

Guest of honour Koshoni Phimu urged the youth to plan their futures meticulously and manage their time effectively to ensure success.

She cautioned against the distractions posed by smartphones and advocated for their judicious use.

Additionally, Koshoni emphasised mentoring young individuals to utilize their time productively.

SDO Lunguiba Thangal addressed the audience, highlighting the youth as society's most valuable asset and calling upon them to actively engage, share experiences, and foster dialogue at such conferences.

He challenged the youth to embrace their potential as agents of societal transformation, stressing the importance of self-awareness and gender equality in shaping a progressive society.

The programme also featured cultural presentations from various participating units, with the evening session scheduled to include the MKS Night, featuring the Miss Maram contest.
