Imphal, July 10 2026: Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla today chaired the 3rd meeting of the Rajya Sainik Board, Manipur (2026) at Lok Bhavan here.

The meeting reviewed a range of matters concerning the welfare, rehabilitation, and resettlement of ex-servicemen, war widows, and their dependents.

Discussions focused on strengthening the delivery of welfare measures and enhancing institutional support for the veteran community across the State.

Key agenda included the construction of a new Sainik rest house-cum-office complex, strengthening of manpower for improved outreach in the districts, and other initiatives aimed at strengthening the functioning of the Rajya Sainik Board, according to a press release issued by the Governor's Secretariat.

The meeting was attended by the Chief Secretary, Commissioner (Home), Special Secretary (Finance), 57 Mountain Division GOC, Deputy Commissioners of Imphal East, Imphal West and Churachandpur, members of the Rajya Sainik Board, Manipur; and representatives of the ex-servicemen community.
