AR empowers youth through skill development programme

In a significant stride towards fostering livelihood opportunities and empowering the youth of Manipur, a felicitation ceremony was organised to honour participants of a Skill Development Programme.
According to a release issued by the IGAR (South), the initiative, conducted under the aegis of Assam Rifles, was designed to equip young individuals with employable skills and facilitate sustainable employment in the hospitality and service industry.
A total of 58 trainees enrolled in the three-month programme, which combined structured classroom instruction with hands-on practical exposure.
The training focused on professional competencies in housekeeping, food and beverage services, and front office operations, while also emphasising soft skills, personality development, interview techniques, and personal grooming.
The felicitation ceremony marked a proud moment as 43 participants have already secured placements in various establishments, reflecting the success of the initiative in bridging the gap between skill development and employment.
Certificates were distributed to the successful candidates in recognition of their dedication and achievements.
Officials and troops of Assam Rifles graced the occasion and highlighted the importance of skill development in fostering economic independence.
They encouraged the trainees to continue striving for excellence in their professional journeys.
The initiative underscores Assam Rifles' enduring commitment to community development and youth empowerment in Manipur, contributing to the creation of a skilled workforce and supporting the aspirations of local communities.
