Imphal, June 09 2026: Manipur Legislative Assembly Speaker Thokchom Satyabrata felicitated Khoisnam Tokyo Meetei, recipient of the 'Insipiring Human Award Record' from the European Record Book, at his Brahmapur Bhagyabati Leikai residence.

Tokyo Meetei, the first from Northeast India in the International Book of Records, serves as Assistant cum Data Entry Operator, Juvenile Justice Board.

Social Welfare Department, Manipur.

From his modest salary, he has given Rs 200 monthly pension to HIV-affected persons, widows, disabled and elderly since 2016, and contributes Rs 5,000 annually to All Manipur Hawker Association.

Praising him as a role model for all Government employees, the Speaker said his selfless work will inspire future generations.

Tokyo Meetei, son of late hawker Khoisnam Koba, thanked the Speaker for the encouragement.
