Training programme on 'Nyay Shruti' held

The Manipur Judicial Academy on Saturday organised a training programme on "Nyay Shruti" - the video conferencing application developed by the Government of India for virtual Court appearances, proceedings and recording of testimonies.
The programme was held at the Auditorium of the High Court of Manipur.
Justice Golmei Gaiphulshillu Kabui, Director, Manipur Judicial Academy, delivered the inaugural address.
The training was aimed at familiarising judicial officers and staff of District Courts of Manipur with the features, operation and practical application of Nyay Shruti, which derives its legal backing from Section 530 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023.Resource persons gave a detailed presentation and live demonstration of the system, highlighting its relevance in recording and managing court proceedings and how it can enhance efficiency, accuracy and accessibility in justice delivery.
Participants also interacted with the resource persons, raising queries and discussing practical issues related to implementation.
The programme is part of the Academy's ongoing efforts to promote technological competence among judicial officers and staff and strengthen the use of digital tools in the justice delivery system.
