Dr Angom Bembem distributes monthly pension to senior citizens, PWDs

Bishnupur, August 06 2026: Celin Digital executive member and National and International awardee Dr Angom Bembem distributed monthly pension assistance to senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs) of Ningthoukhong Awangkhunou Ward No 1 at Nongthon Lairen Pakhangba Shanglen, Ningthoukhong, on Thursday.

Celin Digital in a release said that the pension assistance, which has been provided regularly for the past two years, was distributed in the presence of Celin Digital chairman Dr Phanjoubam Lanajit Singh, National and International awardee Dr Angom Bembem, and GSA awardee Sanasam Robita Devi, who attended the programme as chief guest, president and guest of honour, respectively.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Angom Bembem stated that the monthly pension scheme, which was launched two years ago, is funded entirely from his personal earnings and is intended to support elderly residents and persons with disabilities.

He also pledged to continue the initiative every month for as long as he is able.

Clarifying the purpose of the programme, Dr Bembem said the assistance is aimed solely at promoting mutual care, compassion and harmony within the community, and is not connected with any political ambition.
